Woman found dead in Pflugerville house fire; investigation underway

Firefighters found a woman's body Thursday night after responding to a house fire in Pflugerville, officials said Friday.

The Pflugerville Fire Department responded to a single-family residence fire at 15816 Central Commerce Drive at 9:36 p.m. The blaze was put on in approximately three minutes, officials said. They said that when firefighters arrived, there were heavy fire conditions and downed wires were found outside the home.

Fire Chief Nick Perkins said that, after a search of the home, one adult woman was found dead. The Travis County fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the blaze.
